War vs Monk Vs Sin
ok so i have a question but i have yet to find opinions on. i have 7 other lvl 20's all happily with elite armor who aren't in danger of getting deleted but then there is this ominous last 8th slot that every time i make a char i get them to 20 then on their way to elite armor then for some reason or another they are BAM!!! deleted!! The hard thing is idk what char to fill that slot up with. the chars i don't have are a sin, a monk, and a war. now i have made 3 wars, 1 sin, and 4 monks all who didn't work out. I was thinking i would go monk and 55 or 600 after getting elite armor and HM, but monks are not as good as ether renewal ele's which my ele can run if she so pleases and farming can be done by spirit bond rits, sins and so on. ummm war i just don;t ever seeing me stay with one idk just me. and there there are sins... now i never play cookie cutter builds, u know the ones where in a mish another 2 people might be running the same one cause they could type in pvxwiki XD my builds are very fun and kinda off the wall but work very well. also don't really say which is best in pvp cause i pve more then pvp so dont say pick this one cause it owns in pvp cause well i could care less if it owns in pvp XD so what are u guys opinions? if u had 1 char slot and thats all and could only pick 1 of these 3 profs what would it be? don't even mention any other profs besides war, monk, and sin cause frankly there is no reason ^_^ thanks in advance

Warrior has more diverse options than either of the other two. With Monk, you're stuck with healing (which is hardly boring in my opinion, and using different elites, switching from Prot-->Heal--? is fun) or damage through [[Cry of Pain] feeders or [[Ray of Judgment] builds. Assassins are a blast but if you like innovating and being successful with a LARGE variety of different builds, Warrior has the most amount of interesting elites and combos among the three.

i felt the only diversity with war is the wep combo's since they have their 3 mains weps but can play nicely with a scythe and sometimes a spear but maybe thats just me

I can't fall in love with a War. Ran 2 up, completed campaigns but meh...just not for me. Sin was a pleasant surprise..didn't expect to like it but its just so fun to play..handy lil bugger. Monk was also a surprise..way stronger than I though..run as a smiter. Farming, and a fun, durable character. |

If I had to pick one of those and buying the other two slots isn't an option, I'd go War, just because it's my preferred playstyle (only in GW though, which is strange; in DnD I play mages...)

I like playing warrior, but it honestly just doesn't feel the same in pve. Monks and sins are pretty solid pve classes, so I'd recommend one of them.
It's a shame you don't pvp, because that final slot is perfect for a pvp character. Just delete it and remake your character whenever you feel like switching professions so you don't get bored with one play style. |

If you often play with others and aren't bound to the stupidity of npc's, go with Monk. I love playing monk aslong as there's someone else in the party that can do the targetcalling.
If you spend most of the time playing alone with the AI I suggest warrior. It's a great class that can dish out a nice amount of damage while having several possibilities for party support (think KD mainly but also some tactic stuffs) and ofcourse, there's SY. I personally rather dislike sin and I believe that they're a broken class, but they can be fun to play. They have this instagib thingy to them that makes them fun to play. |

i would suggest a profession that u like to play for a long time,or better yet u could just buy extra char slots,i have 11 char slots ,10 for pve ,1 for each profession and 1 slot for a pvp char.I have played all profesions and i have enjoyed them a lot ,but from all of them my monk and warrior are the ones with the most hours played.
P.S. If i would have to chose between warrior and sin,i would choose warrior because imo its more fun than assassin.I don't know why but while playing assassin in pve(not sf farming)i end up with a db+mb build which gets boring quite fast.Warrior can get boring to but at least u can switch builds around:u can use sword, axe, hammer and with some good efficiency even spear, scythe or daggers([warrior's endurance] for scythe and daggers). You forget that monks don't only heal - they can also farm too. 600/smite and RoJ (and even the defeated 55er build) all use the monk profession. Sins are really only for farming since they don't usually have much of a practical application in PvP (not all PvP, but many PvP try to avoid sin). Playing a normal non SF sin takes a lot of skill to use, which is why sin was looked very down upon since almost every sin user rushed down to tank with medium AL and low attack...
I main warrior and i can tell you that it is very diverse, though only diverse in offense, whereas monk is supremely diverse in defense and offense. I have a lot of fun using my war and have for the last four years even though the war takes some bashes. You can also farm with the war, mainly the raptor run nowadays, which is a quick and easy run that nets you lots of money in a short amount of time. Its up to you, but I would get rid of the sin. Monks can farm too and the sin's sole purpose is to farm and tank in PvE. It gets boring and there are much more fun classes that you could have (try the necro MM + SS is the most fun). Sin does have advantages over monks as they are usually used in runs especially with the new zquests almost completely dominated by sin users. |

i couldnt imagine my slots without my assassin monk and warrior
warrior and monk are my main sin is great for farming and general running about places. IMO you should delete a couple of your completely unused characters, personally i think rits are a waste of space. if deleting is not an option then its a toss up between monk and assassin. IMO Monk is more versatile and more fun to play. |

My only piece of advice after reading all the replies : do not delete a character because someone on a forum on the internet tells you to.

Play whichecever one you enjoy the most.
All 3 have their "cookie-cutter" builds, which, tbh, are the most efficient. All 3 can farm, though the Assassin and Monk have more availability and flexibility on what/where to farm. All 3 are "fun", but in the end, it's going to be up to you to choose the one that you are going to have the most fun playing.

wtf? my last char i would delete would be my rit! she is my char i have had the longest and if u didn't read above "I have 7 other lvl 20's all happily with elite armor who aren't in danger of getting deleted" so why waste ur damn time telling me to delete some unused chars O_o i said i have 1 char slot that is for a monk or sin or war and no i will not waste 10 god damn dollars on a stupid ass char slot. also please stop telling me to play the one i have the most fun playing as since i obviously wouldn't be asking if i didn't find them equal.

Call me odd, but I would rather make the choice myself than be a Lemming. The 3 are all enjoyable to play, but it sounds like you are limiting yourself by not wanting to pay for an extra characer slot or two. No one here is telling you not to, so you can make decisions for yourself, apparently. Still, don't yell at the people who are giving advice when you asked for advice. Take the advice, or don't take the advice, but don't yell at us for giving you our opinions when that is what you asked for. It's F'ing rude.
